In-house development

tamigo's adventure began in 2006 when a planner from the Danish restaurant chain Sticks'n'Sushi contacted Jakob Toftgaard and asked him for help on how to make shift planning easier. Jakob took up the matter and started tamigo with the purpose of making life easier for businesses in retail and hospitality.
In a small country like Denmark, you have to think bigger. We ask questions, listen, and learn to get to the core of things. At tamigo, we have made the complex simple and the inaccessible accessible. Together with Danish and international customers, we have made an intelligent workforce management solution.
Years ago, we decided it was vital to have our development team in-house. We believe in dialogue, knowledge sharing and a high level of skills. We want dedicated input from developers who know the business and who feel proud of what we create. It's about sharing ideas and experiences openly and efficiently.

tamigo's DNA is international. We support 20 languages. We have 25 nationalities in our offices. We have customers in 20 countries and welcome new and international chains as customers each year. We see borders as opportunities, not as obstacles.
The word tamigo does not mean anything in itself. But if the word 'amigo' comes to mind – your friend – then that’s alright. tamigo is always there when you need help. tamigo supports you in difficult decisions and gives you the confidence to improve.
In 2019, tamigo signed an investment deal with Viking Venture from Norway worth 9.3 mEUR. The purpose of the investment is to further accelerate our growth and to develop our organisation and product. It is an important step towards becoming the leading online workforce management provider in Europe.
